Unexpected Blossom

There are a few Journal entries that I will share in the next week that I wrote in the first month of our family committing to adopt from China.  Here’s the first…

Written in my Journal on 8.3.11:

Saw a friend who has adopted from China while picking up the boys from vacation Bible school at our church.  We talked about the waiting period and she described how it feels like being pregnant for a really long time (a spiritual pregnancy).  Years seem too long to wait for her to arrive.  As we drove home, the boys wrestling in the backseat and just happy that it was summer break, I quietly asked God to continue to confirm what He has begun and his plans for our daughter.  When the boys and I arrived home and walked up to our front door, to our delight, the azalea bush that we planted outside our front gate at the beginning of the summer in June had its first bloom ever…light pink.

In due time, God will bring our beautiful blooming flower from China.

God's little reminder:)
